Denman Marine was established in 2005 and is operated by Andrew
Denman.
In 2004/05 Andrew undertook the 18 month nationally accredited Diploma
of Wooden Boat Building in Franklin, Tasmania. Andrew is a qualified boat builder and repairer.
Since finishing his training, Andrew started Denman
Marine specialising in the construction and repair of wooden boats using both traditional and modern construction methods
and materials.
Andrew's aim is to keep the traditional skills alive whilst promoting
wooden boats as a viable alternative to the modern "plastic fantastics"
Andrew has owned a variety of different boats from dinghies to
multihulls and ocean going yachts and is a keen yachtsman with many thousands of coastal and offshore miles experience.
Andrew's current vessel is a vintage 23 foot timber composite, Iain
