Denman Marine - Our Clinker Construction CD

|
| Gartside 10 Clinker Dinghy built by Denman Marine |
Ever wanted to look inside the builder's workshop for a look at construction
methods?
Well here is the opportunity. Whilst building the 2 Gartside 10 traditional clinker dinghies
Whisper and Mischief, we kept a comprehensive photo record of everything from lofting to launching. We have
compiled a CD in HTML format with over 700 high definition photos and added plenty of text on the construction
process to as well. The revised edition contains additional photos and information from the building of Mischief, the second of these
two lovely dinghies.
See methods such as stems being cut from grown crooks, planking, steaming and steam boxes, spiling plank shapes,
roving and much more. Great to look at if you are interested in this type of construction.
If you click on the link below you can view a sample page from the CD. Please
note that the smaller thumbnail images embeded in the CD pages will open to a high resolution picture when clicked upon.
Unfortunately this will not occur in the sample page as the page does not contain the additional larger photo files.

inclined.

gone on to build or repair their own boats using the CD as a guide.

the CD, it is excellent...the info is already in use as I am making a new transom for a 16ft clinker I am also restoring so
the section on the backbone was great"

a wonderful product that really clarifies the process of construction. Thanks again for a great cd."
"Hi Andrew, I wanted to
